Julia Roberts' Top 5 Movies

For a while back in the 1990s, Julia Roberts embodied all things that every woman in America wanted to be. She was sassy, yet refined, gorgeous yet down to earth, and fun yet tranquil. Indeed, she's still on the scene, but it would seem that other, younger actresses have taken over. That's great for you, however, because it means that all of her movies will be shown on the first-rate channels strewn all over satellite Tv. Check out the gorgeous redhead in the following five films before tantalizing on to the rest of her great work.

Pretty Woman: This movie defined a generation. Set in Los Angeles in the late 1980s, Roberts plays a gorgeous girl who's been forced into prostitution due to some unfortunate circumstances. Picked up by a wealthy businessman (played by Richard Gere), she swiftly falls in love. We won't spoil the rest of the story, but be assured that there's a happy ending. If nothing else, watch this just for how great you'll feel afterwards.

Notting Hill: Cast opposite the always enjoyable Hugh Grant, Roberts plays a (wait for it) American movie star besieged by the press while vacationing in London. She somehow ends up trapped in Grant's home, seeing to get away from the irascible paparazzi. Complete opposites, the two fall swiftly fall in love. Like Pretty Woman, it's a heart warming tale of the power of love.

Desktop Processors - A Brief Guide

The Stone Age:

If you are like me, you have spent the majority of your life in the Pc Age. I can remember toying with the very first Personal Computers. In those days you were generally required to write your own programs in Basic and your code or programs were stored to either a cassette tape, or, if the agenda was small enough, to a 5 ½ floppy. I spent many a day playing true gaming classics like Oregon Trail or a two-dimensional Star Trek game played with the up and down arrow keys on a keyboard. One thing is certain; Pc operation has increased virtually exponentially since their inception.

As I write this guide, I am surrounded by a faint glow that comes from my well loved Macintosh Color superior Pc, which at the time of its manufacture, came with an
"An Oh So Powerful" 16 Mhz processor and an 80Mb Hard Drive. I was so impressed with my Mac when I purchased it; it had a small but inviting color screen built in, a hard drive, and a 3 1/4 inch floppy drive. Thanks to Al Gore I could hook up a 1200 baud modem and access a world of Ascii websites via the
"Internet". I truly viewed my Macintosh as a portable Pc, it was relatively light and easy to tote nearby and I took it virtually in any place I could. Today my Macintosh is still functional, any way the only real purpose it serves is as something of a curiosity to any visitors I may have under the age of 25.

Tom Hanks' Top 5 Movies

Tom Hanks is no Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise; he lacks the corporal attractiveness that has catapulted those two stars (and most of the other actors in Hollywood) to fame. Instead, Hanks is just the guy next door, somebody you'd easily like to sit down and have a beer with. For more than twenty years, Hanks has enraptured audiences over America and the world (especially now that satellite Tv has gone international). Here is a short list of his five best movies-keep in mind that his full resume is much more broad.

Forrest Gump: An American classic, Forrest Gump tells the story of a mentally retarded man's epic life. It's a tale of perseverance and grit. Somehow Forrest finds himself in the middle of every major event of the latter half of the 20th century: whether he's meeting Elvis or rescue his whole platoon during a battle in Vietnam, Mr. Gump is a true testament to the idea that nothing is impossible. This movie is extremely recommended.

Saving underground Ryan: Set alongside a young Matt Damon, Hanks plays a firm commander tasked with seeing a soldier behind enemy lines in post D-Day France. This is no small task, with Germans chasing them at every step of the way. The performance scene at the beginning of the movie is carefully to be one of the best-produced ever; suffice it to say that an Hd television is easily necessary.
